Summary
Your role as a Driller Assistant will give you the opportunity to support our in-house drilling department and become an expert in geotechnical drilling. You will join our dedicated and dynamic team that conducts standard penetrometer testing operations, including performing borings and sharing your evaluations with your geotechnical engineering team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist driller with operating support equipment such as, vehicles, pumps, drill tooling, and other equipment
Safely assist driller in performing routine drilling, sampling, and well installation tasks
Work outdoor year-round within a two or three-person team.
Solve problems and work productively in a team environment.
Mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure the optimal operating condition
Perform physical labor, shoveling drilling debris, and moving drill tooling and materials using proper lifting techniques.
Acquire and maintain any required certifications and training.
Cross train on construction material testing as workload allows.
Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
This position is hourly and generally full-time with a normal work schedule from 7 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday. Hours may be regularly adjusted to meet project and client's needs and may include night and weekend work.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
18 years of age or older
Must be able to meet the physical labor demands of the job – including, but not limited to, lifting up to 80 lbs, standing for long periods of time, kneeling, crawling, balance, and use hands to handle tools and controls
Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions
Must be willing to travel
