The ideal candidate will assist in collecting accurate field data, performing surveys, and supporting the preparation of engineering plans. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, technical proficiency, and strong teamwork skills.Key Responsibilities:Conduct field surveys using conventional and GPS surveying equipmentCollect, record, and verify accurate measurements, notes, and data in accordance with project specificationsAssist in the preparation of survey maps, sketches, and reportsSet up and operate survey instruments, including total stations, levels, and GPS unitsEnsure adherence to safety procedures and maintain survey equipment in good working orderCollaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to support design and construction projectsTravel to various project sites as requiredQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering technology, or related field preferred5+ years field surveying experienceProficiency with survey instruments and data collection toolsKnowledge of civil engineering plans and terminologyStrong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under varying conditionsGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.Valid driver's licensePreferred Skills:Experience with CAD or survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center)Familiarity with GPS and total station technologyOSHA or construction safety trainingBenefitsCompetitive salary and performance-based bonuses100% company paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability insurance for employees, plus company deductible assistance401(k) with 4% company matchGenerous PTO plan and 7 major holidaysContinuing education and professional development support
