Junior Software Developer *Company:* GovTact *Location:* On-Site at NSWC Carderock, 9500 MacArthur Blvd., West Bethesda, MD 20817 *Clearance Required:* Secret (or higher) *Salary Range:* $60,000–$70,000 annually *Experience Level:* 0–3 years *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is desired but not required. *Position Overview:* GovTact is seeking a motivated *Junior Software Developer* to join our team of IT specialists at NSWC Carderock. As part of a collaborative team of 9 IT professionals, you will provide support for mission-critical software development and IT system administration. This position is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in PHP, SQL, and a passion for delivering effective solutions in a dynamic environment. *Key Responsibilities:* * Develop and maintain software solutions using PHP and SQL. * Support IT system administration tasks as needed. * Collaborate with team members and government clients to understand and fulfill requirements. * Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems in alignment with DoD regulations. * Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders. * Work within core hours of 6:00 AM–6:00 PM (individual 8-hour schedule to be determined). *Qualifications:* *Required:* * *Secret clearance* (required to be considered) * Familiarity with PHP and SQL, gained through education or experience. * Strong communication skills and ability to interface directly with government customers. * Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player. *Preferred:* * Bachelor’s degree in Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science. * *Security+ certification* (or ability to obtain prior to start or shortly thereafter). *Compensation & Benefits:* * Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually. * Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. * Opportunity to work on-site in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
