Engineering Co-op (Project Support)

*BEPC has an open position for a Project Support Engineer* *Location: Plano, TX (onsite)* *Requisition ID: ABOJP00028027* *Contract Length: 8 month contract with possibilities for extensions* *Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance * *Pay Rate: $20 – 23/hr.* *Systems Engineering (R&D), Neuromodulation* We are seeking high caliber, innovative students who have an interest in the healthcare industry to join our Neuromodulation Systems Engineering R&D Team. Co-ops obtain technical, leadership and professional development skills that allow them to build successful careers in STEM. *Your experience(s), education, and knowledge:* * Candidates must be currently enrolled or recently graduated at an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program * Studying Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science degrees. * GPA of 3.0 or greater * Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills * Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direct supervision * Candidate must be available to work full-time (20 - 40 hours/week) during the 6-month Co-op session *Your preferred qualifications and education:* * Rising juniors, seniors or graduate students preferred. *Responsibilities:* * Take an active role in Neuro’s digital transformation via synthesizing large amounts of data, collaborating with internal engineers, developing a plan and executing data migration (this may include writing code and macros in the ALM tool, and validating the data transfer) * Conduct system testing and provide data, results analysis, and reports to the project team in a timeline driven process. * Create, execute, and monitor system automation tests. * Synthesize large amounts of information to drive understanding for internal team members. Examples include analyzing user research, auditing the competitive landscape, crafting research into compelling presentations. * Exercise technical judgment in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments, and use professional concepts to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways. * Provide project or product support as needed to support business and R&D objectives.
