Senior Process Engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer - Group ManagerThis role focuses on designing, commissioning, and optimizing chemical and energetic material processes in a hands-on pilot plant and production environment. You will develop P&IDs, define equipment specs, support process controls, and lead pilot plant and facility commissioning efforts. The position emphasizes safety in hazardous and flammable environments and requires close collaboration with automation teams and ~50% travel to a Texas facility.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain P&IDs and process documentationDefine equipment specifications for reactors, piping, and process systemsSupport process control strategies with automation engineersLead pilot plant commissioning and test production runsEnsure safety compliance for hazardous and flammable processesSupport facility design and commissioning for energetic materialsProvide on-site support in TexasCollaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineersRequired QualificationsLeading and management of a group of individuals further divided into teams specific to their function (Synthetic/Analytical Chemistry, Material Processing & Formulation, Process Design & Engineering)Process engineering experience in chemical, oil & gas, or similar hazardous environmentsStrong P&ID, plant design, and commissioning experienceHands-on pilot plant and test run experienceKnowledge of process controls and safety standardsChemical or Oil & Gas engineering background (PE preferred)Willingness to travel ~50%Nice to HaveAspen Plus or similar toolsExperience with energetic materials or explosivesDirect plant troubleshooting and optimization experienceWork Environment On-site in Littleton, CO with ~50% travel to Texas.
