This role manages the end-to-end quality feedback loop, from overseeing supplier quality audits to resolving customer complaints through robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA). By fostering a culture of 'Right First Time' across the production floor and throughout the supply chain, this individual ensures that every product leaving the facility reflects the highest standards of reliability and brand reputation.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesQMS & ISO 9001 Certification: Lead the end-to-end design, documentation, and implementation of a new Quality Management System (QMS) for the facility, with the primary objective of achieving and sustaining formal ISO 9001 certification.Audit Leadership: Lead all internal and external quality audits, serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and customer auditors to ensure zero major non-conformances.CAPA & Root Cause Analysis: Direct the facility-wide Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program by utilizing formal root cause analysis methodologies—including 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone—to investigate quality escapes. This role is accountable for ensuring that investigations move beyond temporary fixes to implement permanent, data-driven process changes that prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement.Statistical Process Control (SPC): Implement and monitor SPC tools and techniques to track manufacturing stability, identifying trends before they result in non-conforming products.Supplier & Incoming Quality (IQC): Oversee the supplier qualification and performance program, conducting vendor audits and managing the Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC) process to ensure raw material integrity.In-Process & Final Inspection: Manage the daily execution of IPQC (In-Process) and Final Quality Inspection workflows to ensure all products meet specifications at every stage of production.Production Quality Integration: Partner with the Production Manager to integrate quality gates into the manufacturing flow, fostering a \"Quality at the Source\" culture across all shifts.Material Review Board (MRB): Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) process to identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials, ensuring no \"red-tagged\" items are used in production or shipped to customers.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial), Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.Core Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leading inspection teams.Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present quality metrics to executive leadership while also providing clear technical coaching to inspectors and operators.ISO 9001 Systems: Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and management of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System from the ground up.Inspection Protocols: Deep technical understanding of IQC, IPQC, and Final Inspection protocols, including the development of inspection plans and sampling methodologies.Metrology & Calibration: Hands-on experience managing equipment calibration programs and the proper use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).Data & SPC Competency: Strong competency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and the ability to interpret data trends to prevent quality escapes.Supplier Quality: Experience performing vendor audits and establishing scorecard systems to ensure raw material compliance.Project Management: Demonstrated success in managing high-stakes timelines for quality-related projects.Certifications: Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM/OE) are highly desirable.Location: 3623 W Grand Pkwy N, Suite 100, Katy, TX 77449BenefitsStarting with 15 paid vacation days in the first year11 paid corporate holidays + 5 floating holidays5 paid sick leave days per yearComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plansFSA & HSA plans availableAdvanced health plan options with employer-subsidized out-of-pocket premiumsCompany-sponsored Short-Term Disability (STD) insuranceCompany-sponsored Life Insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchDisclaimerOur goal is to be an industry leader while providing an exceptional workplace.
