Controller

Position Summary: Position reports directly to the General Manager. The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting the owners with financial analysis and budgeting. This position works independently to prioritize and fulfill responsibilities while supervising the accounting department. Primary Responsibilities: * Oversee month-end and year-end close processes. * Review financial statements and supporting schedules. * Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate account reconciliations. * Managing banking relationships, reporting and cash forecasting. * Prepare financial forecasts, budgets and analysis. * Supervise Accounting Department and review staff reporting * Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules. * Coordinate annual Compiled Financial Statement and tax preparation with external CPA. * Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. * Oversee payroll accounting and related reporting affecting the GL * Manage fixed assets, debt schedules, and other balance sheet accounts. * Overseeing inventory accounting for a beverage distribution company * Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls. * Perform additional accounting and financial projects as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * Experience in Distributor or Manufacturing accounting processes a plus. * Experience in accounting management or controller-level responsibilities. * Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. * Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
