Some of these great benefit options are listed below:Low Healthcare Insurance Premiums401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Employee discountsCompany paid life insuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityCancer InsuranceAccident InsurancePet InsuranceTuition ReimbursementOn-the-job training and skills developmentOpportunities for growth and advancementEmployee Assistance ProgramJOB LOCATION : Cancer CenterDEPARTMENT: PCC - RADIATION ONCOLOGY SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,Position Summary The medical dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who has knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment, is cognizant of procedures commonly used in brachytherapy and has the education and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the medical physicist and radiation oncologist.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Possesses current certification with the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board – required Current healthcare provider CPR required Demonstrates proficiency with IMRT planning- 2or more years strongly preferred Must be able to understand the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to derive computerized treatment plans, and communicate these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist for plan approval, and to the Radiation Therapist for plan implementation Has working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations of the State of Georgia concerning Radiation Oncology Must possess mathematical skills including algebra, trigonometry, and introductory calculus and be able to visualize objects in three-dimensional concepts to facilitate the treatment planning process. Knowledge of geriatric patient care Interpersonal relations include other employees, physicians, patients and families, and other health care professionals. Ability to organize and react in a high stress environmentWORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION Indoors, daytime shift, mostly weekdays, call back standby, subjected to high level of stress.
