Childcare Teacher

We are seeking a caring and dependable Part-Time Teacher to support children ages 6 weeks to 5 in a safe, nurturing classroom. Teachers help promote children’s social‑emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based and guided learning experiences.Duties IncludeProvide daily supervision and maintain a safe learning environmentSupport child development through play, structured activities, and routinesBuild positive relationships with children, families, and staffTrack and communicate children’s progress to parentsMaintain a clean, organized classroomFollow health, safety, and sanitation guidelinesComplete incident reports and maintain confidentialityBe flexible with scheduling as enrollment changesQualifications Qualifications: Must be 18+ and enrolled in the Central Background RegistryMust be able to provide R numberAbility to pass a drug testPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs and move throughout the classroom Effective verbal communication in English Food Handler’s and Child/Infant CPR & First Aid (may obtain upon hire)Meet state training requirementsOne of the following:ECE/Child Development credits (20 semester / 30 quarter)Step 5 in Oregon Registry1+ year qualifying experience in a certified center or in homeDegree or credential in Elementary, Special Education, or ECEPatience, compassion, and a love for working with young children
