Accounting Specialist

Office Services of Columbia is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist (Bookkeeper) to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple accounts and values accuracy, organization, and client service.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliationsMaintain accurate general ledger records Process payroll and payroll-related filings as neededPrepare monthly and quarterly financial statementsReconcile credit card accounts and manage expense trackingAssist with year-end reporting and collaboration with CPAsMaintain organized financial records and documentationCommunicate professionally with clients regarding financial mattersQualificationsMinimum 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceWorking knowledge of accounting principles and practicesProficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Preferred Experience (a Plus)Bookkeeping experience in restaurants and/or property managementExperience handling sales tax, hospitality tax, or tenant/owner reconciliationsWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experienceStrong benefits packageSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOpportunities for professional growthStable, locally owned company
