FINOP/Controller Self Clearing Broker Dealer

For "Immediate Hire" fast growing Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer now has two locations the first located in Downtown Manhattan New York the second location is in Central New Jersey. Our client is searching for a self-motivated, team-oriented FINOP/Controller. This coveted position has room for significant growth as the FINOP/Controller will be given the opportunity to grow into the role as the firms CFO within the first year of being hired. Candidate must have Broker-Dealer Self-Clearing experience and an active Series 27 all others please do not apply. Also, outside recruiter's kindly refrain from any correspondence whatsoever regarding this premium position.Responsibilities Include:· Calculate the daily and weekly 15c3-3 Reserve computation.· Calculate the daily and weekly 15c3-1 Net Capital projections.. Responsible for 15c3-3 Custody of customer assets.· Create management reports to monitor capital and liquidity on a daily basis.· Create daily available collateral report(s) for Treasury Management.· Review and file monthly FOCUS Report .· Responsible for daily bank reconciliations.· Work with executive team as needed.Qualified candidates must have experience working at a Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer as either a FINOP or Controller and must have an active Series 27 and have significant experience in calculating 15c3-1 Net Capital computations and have significant experience in15c3-3 Custody of customer assets.Salary 200k-250k base plus bonus and benefitsAdditional Upside: The current Chief Financial Officer is looking to step down at the end of this year. The chosen candidate for this position will be given an opportunity to be promoted to the firms Chief Financial Officer position if that individual proves worthy of consideration based on work ethic, leadership qualities and production.Qualifying Candidates Must have the following:Previous experience working at a Self-Clearing Broker-DealerAn active Series 27Significant experience in calculating 15c3-1 Net Capital requirements.Significant experience in 15c-3-3 Custody of customer assets.Hands on Focus Reporting experienceAbility to Multi-task and meet all Financial Reporting DeadlinesStrong Problem-Solving SkillsExceptional Leadership QualitiesExceptional Communication Skills
