Industrial Engineer

The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Charleston, SC. Details for the position are as follows:Pay Range: $40 - $52/hr5-month assignment with possible extension and/or conversion based on performance and budgetJob Duties/ResponsibilitiesResearch and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.Study time, motion, methods, and operational speeds to establish production standards and improve efficiency.Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards.Review worker logs, processing sheets, and specification documents to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.Observe equipment operation and maintenance practices to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.Conduct time studies and evaluate worker fatigue rates using timing devices.Analyze operational data and prepare reports to validate standards or identify deviations from existing processes. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.Industrial Engineering background with 3+ years of manufacturing/process improvement experience focused on time studies, workflow optimization, production efficiency, station/layout evaluation, and quality/reliability analysis in an onsite production environment.Technical proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and 3D simulation softwareAbility to read/interpret blueprints and engineering drawings, create layouts/sketches, analyze operational data, and generate reports/charts to improve manufacturing operations and equipment utilization.
