Azure Storage Endpoint Migration ConsultantPosition OverviewWe are seeking an Azure Engineering Consultant resource with experience in Azure, storage, networking, and project coordination to support a large-scale migration of storage endpoints from public to private access.The resource will work independently with application owners, storage/share owners, and business stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute migrations while maintaining accurate project documentation and inventory.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack file shares and storage resources and identify appropriate owners and stakeholders.Schedule and facilitate meetings with share owners, application teams, and users.Develop migration plans, including new IP address assignments, connectivity requirements, and cutover procedures.Coordinate and schedule change windows and communicate migration timelines to stakeholders.Lead the transition of storage endpoints from public to private endpoints, working directly with application and share owners.Identify and retire endpoints that no longer have an identified owner or business need.Maintain accurate tracking inventories, spreadsheets, migration status, and change records, potentially covering 1,000+ entries.Monitor migration progress, identify risks or blockers, and escalate issues requiring specialized technical support.Provide clear status updates and ensure stakeholders understand migration requirements, timelines, and next steps.Required Qualifications & SkillsMid-level experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Storage services.Intermediate understanding of networking concepts, IP address management, private/public endpoints, and endpoint migrations.Experience coordinating technical projects, migrations, or infrastructure changes.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large, detailed tracking inventory.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage directly with customers, application owners, and technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage competing priorities.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and change records.Role ExpectationsThe selected resource will be primarily responsible for managing and coordinating the migration of storage endpoints from public to private access. The role is expected to operate with minimal day-to-day support from the existing team, with escalation to specialized resources only when technical issues or exceptions require additional expertise.
