Shop Hand

Must be local or within daily commute of Gillette, WYROLE STATEMENT: The Shop Hand will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the maintenance shop. The Shop Hand will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. The successful candidate will focus on the basic upkeep of the maintenance shop and assist the Parts Department and other maintenance staff.SCHEDULE/LOCATION:5/2 Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour days$21-$25/hourGillette, WY 82718Specific AccountabilitiesProvide effective communication with management in the District regarding operations and continuous improvement initiativesAble to participate in the development of policies and procedures to meet operational service line requirementsWork with all operations groups, i.e. Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Human Resources, etc. to ensure a trouble free operationManage employee and equipment assignments and schedules to meet customer requirements to achieve corporate mandate of “Service First”.Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures to achieve safety objectives.Meet and inspires others to meet the Corporate Code of Business ethicsMaintain Calfrac safety standards at all times, including a clean work environmentMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with Calfrac’s procedures and regulationsProvide assistance as needed to the Maintenance DepartmentProvide assistance to the Shipping and receiving departmentLoad and unload equipment and/or productClean and assistance with the maintenance of company vehiclesOperate the forklift when requiredKey Attributes And CompetenciesAbility to work alone and willingness to work with others in a team environment, with reasonable instructions, training, and supervision.Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.Must be able to perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, squatting, bending and reaching. Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
