Allergy Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support in various medical settings, including Level II Trauma Centers and urgent care facilities. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality care. Key Responsibilities: Allergy Testing/Patient Care: Provide compassionate and attentive support to patients during allergy testing and throughout their treatment process. Assist with patient intake, education, and follow-up. Vial Mixing: Prepare and mix allergy serum vials according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. Prior Authorizations: Collaborate with insurance providers to obtain necessary prior authorizations for allergy testing and treatment. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation. Allergy Injections: Administer allergy injections under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Clinical Duties: Assist with other clinical tasks as needed, including maintaining patient records, conducting follow-up calls, and participating in team meetings. SKILLS: - Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential. - Experience or familiarity with medication administration processes is preferred. - Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations typical of a Level II Trauma Center. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff. - Proficient in using medical equipment and technology relevant to the role. - A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the healthcare field.
