TITLE: Process EngineerPOSITION CLASSIFICATION: ExemptDEPARTMENT: Cuisine SolutionsPOSITION REPORT TO: Engineering ManagerSUMMARY: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Food Process Engineer is responsible for working on future process lines and optimizing new equipment and processes installed into our current food plants.ExperienceMinimum of 2 years' or more in Food Processing facilityStrong knowledge of food safety requirementsStrong curiosity on innovation, food processing and food productAbility to communicate easily with cross functional teamComfortable performing in a fast-pace environment, with an ability to establish priorities, multitask, manage workload, and work under pressureEducationBachelor's degree in Food Science or Engineering or a related fieldExcellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS OfficeJob ResponsibilitiesResearch innovative process and equipment using conventional methods but also visiting professional equipment shows and vendors both in North America and Europe.Request quotes from vendors and verifies understanding and definition of the project.Shares all necessary documentation with equipment procurement teamKeeps in close contact with the selected vendor during project acting as a reference person representing Cuisine Solutions.Keeps documentation updated in the engineering sharepoint.Participates to the FAT generally happening at the vendors to verify equipment compliance and functionalities.Upon installing new processes or equipment, the Food Process Engineer will facilitate bridging the gap between engineering phase and operation.Amongst other responsibility, he will identify bottlenecks or major improvement needs into current plants and suggest action plan for future remodeling including timing, investment level and payback.On occasions, may be a resource for support for the maintenance or operations team to facilitate communication with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing).Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.Position requires travel to the different plants, suppliers and equipment shows including overseas.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
