Special Education Instructional Facilitator - Central Office JobID: 517Position Type:Student Support Services/Inclusion FacilitatorDate Posted:5/21/2026Location:Special EducationClosing Date:06/04/2026Additional Information: Show/HideTITLE:Special Education Instructional FacilitatorQUALIFICATIONS:TERMS OFEMPLOYMENT:Certification in Special EducationFive years successfully teaching special educationMaster's Degree in Education, preferred not requiredDemonstrated Knowledge of Special Education Records Systems, requiredProficient in Using Technology, requiredOther qualifications specified by the parish*12 MonthsREPORTS TO:Supervisor of Special EducationPAY FACTOR:JOB GOAL:1.333To facilitate the implementation of effective and efficient instructional program designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Works directly with teachers in complying with all special education district policies and practices.Assists special education teachers and service providers in completing all required records and paperwork needed for students with disabilities.Coaches and trains special education teachers and service providers on best practices in completing all paperwork.Visit schools and works with teachers and other school personnel in developing effective educational interventions and curriculum goals for students with disabilities.Provides technical assistance and support to all teachers for instructional improvement in order to meet the needs of students with disabilities.Develops and provides in-service training to school personnel regarding best practice to meet the needs of students with disabilities.Provides on-going consultation to school personnel in dealing with students with disabilities experiencing academic and behavior problemsWorks collaboratively with school administrators and teaching personnel regarding the performance of students with disabilities.Include ideas for differentiated instruction.Be fluent in technology with the ability to pull data from various technical programs.Plan and provide Professional Development to teachers and administration on best practices in teaching students with disabilities.Attends weekly staffing meetings to gain information and provide input.Monitors IEPs and Progress Reports for compliance.Provides oversight and management for Special Education Reporting (SER) by reviewing, monitoring and submitting IEPs.Develops and disseminates all necessary reports from SER.Assists with LDOE annual reporting.Reviews and prepares the SER report for Child Count.Collaborates with Special Education Supervisor with IDEA budget and grant.Manages all aspects of the special education records.Ensures confidentiality of all students and records.Perform duties in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.Upholds expectations of responsibilities accepted by the signing of this job description.Performs any additional duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or evaluator.PROFESSIONAL ETHICSMaintains good attendance.Reports to work on time.Displays professional ethics on and off duty.Adheres to all Iberville Parish School Board's PoliciesReports job-related injuries within 24 hours of work accident to the immediate supervisor.Assumes responsibility for implementation of emergency procedures.Seeks and maintains a positive attitude of promoting school and community relations.Participates in and promotes harmonious working relationships with students, colleagues, parents and community members.Attends meetings as directed.Serves on task force and decision-making committees, when appropriate.
