Capillary Spooler

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Under general supervision is responsible for spooling and banding capillary tubing utilized on artificial lift systems in a coordinated effort and procedure with customer representatives on installs or pulls on oil and gas job sites.SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Ability to be on call 24/7Ability to travel to the field location daily in company work truckSpools cable onto capillary spool as the tubing is being pulled out of the wellBands capillary tubing onto tubing as the downhole equipment and tubing are being run into the wellMaintains capillary service truck and trailer, performs daily inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulationsProper completion of DOT logbooks, DOT inspection forms, and turn in for office recordsCompletes daily timesheetConducts field analysis and tests capillary strings after they have come out of the wellThe ability to collect information during testing and inspection to provide customers with recommendations on capillary tubing status.Quickly adjusts to changing job assignments/requirements and the flexibility to work overtime with little or no advance noticeAssist with workover rig operations on location as requiredRequirementsEHS REQUIREMENTS:Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company's TRIR goalsFollow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company's environmental performance goalsComplete, and actively participate in all of the company's EHS training requirementsMaintain a clean driving record in accordance with company insurance policyPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)1 year workover or capillary experience is preferredAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondence as requiredAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsBasic hand tool proficiencyBasic computer skills required to operate computerized test equipmentAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsA combination of the above qualifications will also be consideredPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.Must be able to work at a fast pace.Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.WORK ENVIRONMENT:
