Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Safety Site Manager to join our growing team.This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Safety Site Manager collaborates closely with the EHS team to foster a proactive and positive safety culture across Janicki Industries. This role engages with employees at all levels of the organization, promoting adherence to internal policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations.Key responsibilities include identifying workplace hazards, implementing preventative measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The Safety Site Manager leads safety training initiatives, conducts audits, and maintains clear communication with leadership and staff to drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety protocols. This role is integral to creating a safe, sustainable, and compliant work environment while embodying Janicki's commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence.The following essential job functions are performed as an Safety Site Manager:Ensures full compliance with federal, state, local, and company safety regulations in collaboration with operations teamsWorks closely with operations management to effectively oversee safety at JanickiMonitors processes for adherence to OSHA and L&I guidelinesAnalyzes data, prepares reports, and communicates findings to senior managementOversee hazardous waste activities and accumulation areas to ensure complianceAudits and evaluates compliance with stormwater and air quality permitsContinuously enhances JI's safety programsReviews workplace safety incident report and leads team-based investigationsConducts root cause analyses of EHS-related incidents, assigns corrective actions, and tracks progressPromotes EHS awareness through internal communications and trainingManages relationships with workers' compensation providers, medical resources, and employeesProvides support for safety programs such as Energy Control, Fall Protection, Ergonomics,Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, and Crane/Forklift OperationsPerforms other duties as assignedMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English languageQUALIFICATIONSDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may substitute for education requirements4+ years of relevant experience in EHS management or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction settingHands-on experience with ergonomics, claims management, and safety program implementationFamiliarity with OSHA, EPA, and L&I regulations and compliance standardsProficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using PLM systems (e.g., SAP/ECTR) is a plusStrong analytical skills, with the ability to review and interpret data, prepare reports, and make informed decisionsProven ability to conduct audits, root cause analyses, and manage corrective actionsExceptional verbal and written communication skills in EnglishEffective decision-making and interpersonal skills, able to communicate professionally at all organizational levels and with external contactsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and able to quickly adapt to new systemsSelf-starter, capable of working with minimal supervisionTeam player with the ability to contribute both independently and collaborativelyFlexibility to work off or split shifts as neededValid driver's license requiredADDITIONAL INFORMATIONSalary range for this role is between $78,000 - $115,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role.
