Our buyers are curriculum directors, ECE program directors, Head Start CEOs, and county education leaders who care about whole-child development as the foundation for academic outcomes.About the RoleThis is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor sales role responsible for new-business acquisition across Texas, Georgia, and Alabama. You will sell Housman’s curriculum, professional development, and assessment tools into both K-2 district contexts and birth-through-pre-K early childhood contexts. You report directly to our COO and will partner closely with our existing Director covering the Northeast.ResponsibilitiesBuild pipeline through outbound prospecting, conference presence, partner referrals, and inbound conversion across all three statesRun discovery, demos, pilots, and procurement cycles end-to-end with district curriculum directors, ECE program directors, Head Start CEOs, Texas regional Education Service Centers, Bright from the Start program leads in Georgia, and Office of School Readiness contacts in AlabamaNavigate Texas’s HB 4 reading academies environment and ESC infrastructure; navigate Georgia’s universal Pre-K administered by Bright from the Start; navigate Alabama’s First Class Pre-K (operated by the Office of School Readiness) and the Alabama Reading InitiativeInherit and ramp existing Georgia contactsAchieve $800K in net-new ARR in Year 1, ramping toward $1.0M+ in Year 2 as the territory maturesTravel approximately 50% on average, with peaks of 60–65% during state procurement windows (February through May) and conference seasons (August through October). The Southeast geography is wide; this is a road role and we are direct about thatMaintain disciplined CRM hygiene in Zoho; partner with the COO on weekly pipeline reviews and monthly forecastsProvide structured field intelligence back to product and marketingQualificationsBachelor’s degree required.
