Hospice Aide (Hospice House) - 6am-6pm - PRN *CNA Required!
Hospice Aide / C.N.A (Hospice House) Hospice Aides provide personal care and designated health related services in compliance with policies and procedures, applicable health care standards, and government laws and regulations. Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of the patient Plan of Care, assisting patients with activities of daily living, attending in-services, staff meetings, and continuing education, following verbal and written directions provided by the RN specific to the patient assigned, maintaining a clean and safe environment and performing light housekeeping assignments as assigned, maintaining and submitting documentation as required, recording observations, completed, and refused tasks, observing, recording, and reporting significant changes in the status of a patient and/or family to supervisor, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, preparing light meals if assigned in patient plan of care, providing hands-on personal care to patients, and providing personal care and supportive services to hospice patients.
Requirements include a high school diploma, automobile insurance, CNA or completion of the first semester of an RN program at Sarah Bush Lincoln, and a driver's license from the state of Illinois.
Compensation: Estimated compensation range $18.68 - $28.95, pay based on experience.
