Temp Plaintiff Side Trial Attorney
Job Overview
This is a temporary assignment, lasting 35-40 days.
We are seeking an experienced plaintiff-side trial attorney to essentially serve as a war room coordinator. The candidates main role will involve behind the scenes trial preparation, such as composing arguments, preparing exhibits and evidence for each day of trial. CS Disco is the database where everything is maintained, so previous experience with that platform will be important to be able to efficiently run searches and find the pertinent information quickly. The ideal candidate will need to be onsite near the federal courthouse to participate with the team.
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal documents with precision and clarity
Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing CS DISCO, LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies
Prepare for court depositions by developing questions, reviewing evidence, and coordinating witness testimony
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal counsel throughout the litigation process
Maintain meticulous case management records, ensuring compliance with procedural law requirements and deadlines
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required
Proven experience in plaintiff side litigation
Strong knowledge of procedural law, statutory legal research, and legal motion preparation
Demonstrated ability to draft contracts, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with clarity and professionalism
Experience conducting court depositions and trial advocacy with confidence and poise
Familiarity with legal research tools such as CS DISCO, LexisNexis and Westlaw; proficiency in legal writing and case management software is preferred
Ability to work independently
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
