Pizza Supervisor
Lead/Experienced Pizza Maker/Supervisor320 Market Cafe is a family owned and operated business in Delco. We've been in business for over 30 years and have two retail and one production location. We added pizza to our operation in the summer of 2022 and have a great team pumping out impeccable pies. We are currently hiring for a lead/experienced pizza maker/supervisor full time. Weekend and evening availability required. Sundays are a must. Shifts are generally 11-7, 1-9 and 2-10.Pay starts at $22-$25/hr. After 90 days probationary period, pooled tips (generally $4 to $6/hr).After 90-day probationary period, also eligible for insurance (health, dental, and vision) and PTO.401k (4% matching) available to all employees after 12 months.20% discount on purchases (alcohol not included due to PA regulations).Essential duties and responsibilities include high quality execution. In addition to making pizzas to order, you are responsible for ensuring all ingredients are appropriately prepped, assembled and cooked according to restaurant recipes and specifications. Pizza makers are responsible for making, fermenting, and portioning all the varieties of dough. In addition, the pizza team produces all their own sauces: tomato, pesto, garlic cream, and core ingredients like roasted mushrooms. This role includes training and instructing the pizza makers to produce items consistently and to follow systems to maintain standards. Orders may be for both in-house and to go and must be produced in a timely manner. There are core items like stromboli, tomato pies, pretzels, and other dough-based items that must be produced for a la carte purchase in the market. Additionally, our pizza makers produce cheesesteaks to order as part of their general responsibilities and as such, this position includes overseeing the cheesesteak program. There is a monthly special in which pizza makers participate in the menu development. You must comply with nutrition/sanitation regulations and safety standards. You also are required to maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. The pizza kitchen is a shared space with our production baker and our deli team, and as such requires flexibility in sharing space and strong communication. There is some guest interaction when pizzas are delivered to tables but this is largely a BOH position. All supervisors in our business do learn basic register skills, order taking and customer triage as well.As the pizza supervisor you will work hand in hand with business management on ingredient procurement, inventory levels, and the creative process.Some details:Experience required.Serv Safe Certification preferred.Full Time
