Carpigiani North America serves customers with unparalleled expertise and premium products, helping businesses flourish in the frozen dessert sector.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Supply Chain Manager located in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee supply chain operations, including demand planning, inventory management, procurement, and supply chain analysis. Daily tasks include monitoring and optimizing inventory, coordinating with suppliers to ensure accurate procurement, analyzing data to forecast demand, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The role is focused on ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness and delivering value to the organization.Warehouse & Logistics Management:Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods. Ensure optimal space utilization, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective transportation. Supervise and develop warehouse staff to uphold safety and efficiency standards.Purchasing & Procurement:Lead the full purchasing cycle, from sourcing and contract negotiation to procurement and distribution. Align purchasing strategies with organizational forecasts and production schedules. Maintain accurate supplier records and ensure timely material replenishment.Systems & SAP Administration:Manage SAP functions, including creation and maintenance of part/machine codes, pricing updates, and planning table adjustments. Train staff on SAP processes and track equipment status across systems.Supplier & Vendor Management:Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve disputes, evaluate vendor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Reporting & Budgeting:Manage department budgets and produce detailed reports on inventory levels, purchasing activities, and cost-saving initiatives. Provide sales and production teams with regular reports to support strategic planning.Compliance & Quality Control:Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Oversee procurement quality and process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with Sales and Operations to align production plans with forecasts in SAP.Educational / Computer / Work Experience Requirements5+ years relevant work experience in PurchasingStrong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)Experience in driving new and innovative solutions for customers and change managementPreferred Skills and AbilitiesAbility to lead and make sound decisions with minimal oversight in order to prioritize and deliver tasks on time and manage expectationsExcellent oral and written communication and negotiation skillsHighly motivated self-starterStrong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and understand wiring and ladder logic diagramsGood understanding of Purchasing processes and proceduresStrong organizational skills with the ability to function in a fast-paced, demanding environmentHighly skilled in prioritizing multiple tasksMust be teamwork-oriented and able to build strong customer relationshipsExperience and proficiency in SAP Bilingual: English/Spanish or English/Italian preferredAdditional NotesThe ideal candidate for this position must be goal-oriented and have the ability to competently manage multiple tasks and individuals in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment with minimal supervision.
