Grant Writer for Award-Winning Children's Nonprofit - Leadership & Growth Opportunity

Our client is a long-standing and highly respected children’s organization that has delivered impactful, award-recognized programs to the community for decades.We seek a Grant Writer with demonstrated experience managing the full grant lifecycle, including prospect research, proposal development, submission, and reporting. This role also supports broader fundraising efforts such as corporate partnerships and donor engagement, with a strong emphasis on securing institutional funding. A genuine commitment to children’s advocacy is essential. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer with a sharp eye for detail, capable of translating programmatic impact into compelling, funder-aligned narratives. They are highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical thinking, resourcefulness, and effective communication skills are key to success in this role.Reporting to the Director of Development, this position offers meaningful exposure to fundraising strategy, opportunities for professional growth, and a competitive benefits package.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement fundraising strategies across individual, corporate, foundation, and government sourcesManage and grow a donor portfolio, driving engagement and retentionIdentify and pursue grant opportunities, lead proposal, and report developmentBuild and maintain strong donor and stakeholder relationshipsCollaborate with Development, Finance, and Program teams to align funding with program goals and ensure complianceSupport fundraising campaigns, events, sponsorships, and direct mail initiativesTrack grant performance and ensure timely, accurate reportingMaintain donor and proposal data within CRM systemsContribute to annual development planning and pipeline growthSupport additional fundraising initiatives and priorities as needed QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field5+ years of fundraising, development, or related experience with proven resultsStrong grant writing and donor communication skillsExperience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge)Excellent relationship management and communication skillsStrong project management and organizational abilitiesUnderstanding of budgeting and proposal developmentCFRE preferred; passion for youth advocacy
