Warehouse Assistant

Brief Description The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day activities and all tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product/materials used in the warehouse of an oilfield remanufacture facility. Detailed Description Use a manufacturing system (ERP) to perform material transactions Use a manufacturing system (ERP) to maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, and print inventory reports Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes for domestic and international shipments Package and prepare materials for shipments and make arrangements or issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklifts, or sorting bins Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped Manage the process of unloading and loading trailers, picking, packing, and shipping stock, tracking and counting material, and placing materials in proper locations Utilize the established tools, equipment, and technologies required to initiate or complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes within the warehouse Operate forklifts, including narrow aisle reach trucks Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment Ensure that safety procedures are followed in accordance with established regulations (e.g., OSHA, PPE, etc.) Maintain warehouse equipment and facility records by following the preventative maintenance schedule Perform various other tasks as required Job Requirements Excellent computer skills, including ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently Highly detail-oriented and thorough Ability to communicate effectively with department representatives and management, both verbally and in writing Able to work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish goals and to identify and resolve shipping and receiving issues Ability to operate hydraulic lift trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1 year of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse environment Preferred Qualifications 3 years of experience using an ERP system Forklift certification/license Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Forklift: 2 years (Preferred) ERP systems: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
