Project Engineer / Project Manager – Industrial ConstructionLocation: Cedar Rapids, IAClient: Client Confidential | Industrial General ContractorWe are partnering with the owners of a well-established, locally owned industrial general contractor serving Eastern Iowa in their search for a Project Engineer / Project Manager to support estimating, project management, and field operations.This role offers hands-on involvement across bidding, procurement, and execution of large-scale industrial construction projects.This is a direct opportunity to be part of a union construction team managing projects within an 80-mile radius of Cedar Rapids.What’s in It for You✔ Competitive compensation based on experience✔ Comprehensive benefits package✔ Strong long-term career growth opportunity✔ Exposure to estimating, operations, and field activitiesWhat You’ll DoEstimating & PreconstructionAssist with project estimating and bid take-offsReview drawings, specifications, and scope documentsParticipate in pre-bid walk-throughs with project managers and superintendentsSupport development of bid proposals and scopes of workLearn vendor and subcontractor coordinationProject Operations & SupportSupport project managers with planning and executionProcure materials and supplies for projects and warehouse needsCoordinate job site logistics, deliveries, and field documentationEnsure safety requirements and protocols are in place and followedConduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, and project progressAssist with staffing coordination and issue resolutionContribute to project closeout, final documentation, and invoice generationWho You Are:✔ Self-motivated and adaptable✔ Strong communicator and team collaborator✔ Detail-oriented with analytical thinking✔ Comfortable balancing office and field responsibilitiesWhat You Bring:Education: An associates or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be consideredTechnology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
