Payroll Specialist
Part-Time Contract: Payroll Support SpecialistRole OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Support Specialist (Contract, Part-Time) to support payroll operations across multiple pay cycles, including biweekly, weekly, and monthly processing. This role plays a key part in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and data integrity, while also contributing to cross-functional initiatives in benefits, reporting, and payroll system enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in processing payroll across biweekly, weekly, and monthly cyclesReview, audit, and correct timecards to ensure accuracy and complianceResearch and resolve payroll tax issues, including filings, discrepancies, and correctionsSupport payroll data audits and system corrections to maintain integrity and compliancePartner with HR and Finance to investigate and resolve payroll-related inquiriesContribute to cross-functional projects, including:Benefits administration supportState reporting and compliance initiativesPayroll process improvements and data integrity effortsMaintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with compliance standardsRequired Skills & ExperienceHands-on experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now (or a similar system)Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations (federal, state, filings, and corrections)Strong attention to detail with ability to work in high-volume, deadline-driven environmentsFoundational knowledge of accounting principles (reconciliations, debits/credits preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data cleanup, reporting, basic formulas; pivot tables a plus)Experience using timekeeping systems and standard business communication tools (e.g., Outlook)Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues and collaborate cross-functionallyPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting multi-state payroll operationsExposure to benefits administration and reporting processesPrior involvement in payroll audits or compliance projects
