You create an environment that fosters a strong customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence, and you continuously seek feedback and opportunities to grow.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service: collaborate with your team on plans to exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique and inclusive customer experienceBuilding the Brand: educate customers and staff on brand values and our positions on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked PackagingProduct Passion: deepen product knowledge and make informed recommendationsDriving Sales: develop and execute business plans to achieve short- and long-term goals and improve KPIsLeadership Practices and Staff Development: coach and develop the team, create development plans, provide constructive feedbackDiversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: maintain a diverse team and an inclusive environment; prioritize DEIB trainingEngagement and Performance: analyze performance concerns and create action plans to improve engagement with empathyRecruitment and Selection: build diverse teams and ensure transparency and equity in interviews and promotionsOperational ExcellencePolicies and Procedures: ensure training compliance, time and attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace, anti-harassment and anti-discrimination, health and safety, daily communication within budgetStock and Inventory: train staff, manage ordering, and use inventory reports to plan and reduce waste within budgetVisuals and Merchandising: create merchandising plans and train staff to maintain a clean, attractive store and consistent customer experienceScheduling, Time, and Attendance: schedule staff to meet peak times and manage breaks within labor budgetQualificationsRequired:3-5 years managing in a retail environmentStrong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, and performance managementExcellent listening and communication skillsExcellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsStrong customer service, supervisory, and sales skillsKnowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical businessAbility to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekendsPreferred:Experience with consultation-based customer service modelsAbility to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedbackStrong track record of developing retail staff careersProficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and adaptable to other systemsExperience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice trainingFluency in Spanish, French, or other languagesEquity and InclusionLush believes in equal opportunity for all applicants.
