Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Heavy Equipment MechanicHaydon Bridge Co., Inc. is looking for a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position is an hourly position that includes some shop, but mostly field work in various weather conditions. Knowledge of CAT equipment is preferred and experience with Manitowoc and/or Link Belt Cranes is a plus.The following are the requirements/responsibilities of the position:Responsible for writing complete repair descriptions on the work order, including correct model, serial number, hour meter reading, etc.Communicate both verbally and electronically to the Equipment Manager.Diagnosing and repairing issues on various types of equipmentAble to read electrical and hydraulic schematicsAccomplish tasks without direct supervisionOvernight travelClass B CDL (preferred)Able to lift 50 lbs.Diesel Technical School graduate or 3-5 years of field experienceThe benefits of this position include the following:Union Wages and BenefitsPensionHealth InsuranceVacation Pay
