Robert Half's client in Phoenix is seeking an onsite Network Engineer. You will be responsible for operations, use, changes, performance, and capacity management and hold extensive expertise and knowledge in the information systems management of technology cost and contract negotiation of technology goods, installation, and troubleshooting of Enterprise and Global collaborative network architectures and topologies, Global VoIP, DNS, WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN, SDWAN technologies, subnetting, and be willing to and have the ability to train and mentor personnel as business dictates.Key Accountabilities:Performs the configuration and the operations of the Network, and Data Center environments for Tessenderlo Group.Also provides the necessary procedures, plans notes, and documentation to further support the understanding of the configuration.Based on continuous performance and capacity monitoring, reviews and forecasts IT needs based on risk and business impact. Develops, updates, and maintains a continuity plan and makes sure team members keep their skills up to date.Provides 2nd and 3rd line support for incidents and changes relevant to the functional domain and manages troubleshooting to get the user operational as fast as possible and prevent the same problem from re-occurring.Makes continuous analysis and issues recommendations or proposes improvements to increase global performance of the system.Produces, stores, and shares technical documents according to knowledge management standards in use.Contributes to the configuration management process and, therefore creates and documents the standards concerning the identification of configuration items to guarantee complete and up-to-date knowledge on the available configurations.Assist in implementing innovative IT Systems solutions and processes.Participate in and lead implementation for IT projects e.g., upgrades, training, and troubleshooting.Assist in configuring, supporting, and maintaining all hardware related to overall network hardware, server, data storage, and workstations as they pertain to the network topology.Maintain backup for network systems coordinating with business retention needs.Assist in the creation and maintaining documentation of systems & processes, and procedures.Job Description (Network Systems Engineer II)Effectively communicate and collaborate with the IT Manager/Director, global TG Network Competence lead and other team members throughout the resolution of IT issues.Assist in identifying, resolving, and preventing system vulnerabilities.Assist in developing and delivering IT-related training and technical manuals in support of updated technical requirements.Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities that positively affect safety, the environment, quality, reliability, and productivity or improve the overall suitability and effectiveness of the management system, its processes, and products.Up to 25% Travel as needed.Deliver a high-level of customer service and professional interaction with internal customers, management, and administration.Comply with departmental standards and documented procedures.Supports organizational policies related to safety, environmental protection, housekeeping, etc., within the area of responsibility.Stay up to date with current technologies. Participate in root cause analysis to improve IT support on an ongoing basis.Key Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors:Required Skills:Requires knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and/or technical degree or an equivalent of relevant experience.Expertise in installation standards of DNS, WAN, , LAN, WLAN, VPN, TLS, SDWAN technologies, subnetting, troubleshooting of Enterprise and Global collaborative network architectures and topologies.2+ years working as network specialist in a Cisco infrastructure environment.Cisco training and/or at least 5 years of demonstrated experience.
