While the majority of your work will focus on Lean In, this role offers the opportunity to drive impact across multiple mission-driven initiatives.Role OverviewWe're seeking a highly independent, self-motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain the technical infrastructure that powers our digital platforms. You'll work across the entire stack—from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems and databases—taking ownership of features from concept to deployment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives with autonomy and can drive projects forward without constant oversight.What You’ll DoDesign, develop, and deploy full stack features across our website and community platformsBuild responsive, accessible front-end experiences using modern web technologiesDevelop scalable back-end services, APIs, and database architecturesTake end-to-end ownership of technical projects, from technical design to production releaseIdentify opportunities to strengthen our platforms and proactively propose thoughtful solutionsWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code that meets high engineering standardsTroubleshoot and debug issues across the full application stackPartner closely with product managers, data scientists, and designers to translate user needs into technical solutionsOptimize performance, scalability, and security across our systemsContribute to architecture decisions and help shape engineering best practicesStay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support long-term impactWhat You Bring3+ years of full stack software engineering experienceStrong proficiency across both front-end and back-end developmentFront-end experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.), HTML5, and CSS3Back-end experience with server-side languages (Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, etc.) and building RESTful APIsExperience working with SQL and NoSQL databasesComfort working independently and driving projects forward with minimal directionA self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving skillsSolid understanding of web security best practices and performance optimizationStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsA bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experienceA deep commitment to Lean In’s mission to inspire and equip women to leadAlignment with the Sandberg Bernthal Family Foundation’s initiatives, including building resilience and driving social impactWhat We Will Offer YouBase Salary: $150,000 – $175,000 based on experience, skills, and qualificationsPerformance Bonus: Up to 15% of base salary annuallyMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with a 4% employer matchGenerous paid time offAdditional benefits designed to support well-being and long-term successLean In and The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity without regard to age, race, ethnicity, gender, protected veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religion.
