Mission-driven environment that fosters personal development. ResponsibilitiesThe Elementary Program Coordinator will lead the after-school program and supervise staff, volunteers, and interns. The Elementary Program Coordinator is responsible for developing lesson plans and teaching core academic subjects to assist students with academic improvement. The Elementary Program Coordinator is responsible for student recruitment and enrollment and for building and maintaining effective relationships with students, parents, Johnson Elementary School, and community and church partners. Develop and lead socio-emotional learning, life skills, Christian education, and recreational activities. Administrative responsibilities include program logistics, database management and reporting, managing student tuition, and transporting students. Schedule: Academic year, Monday - Friday, 10 am to 6:30 pm. Summer, Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Hours vary during school breaks. Occasional weekend hours to support program needs and events. RequirementsBA/BS in Education, Early Childhood Education, Youth Ministry, or related field. 2 to 4 years of previous experience with youth. Previous elementary classroom teaching experience. Demonstrated ability in staff management, administration, and program development. Sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families and culturally diverse backgrounds. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Previous after-school program experience and bilingual (Spanish/ English) strongly preferred. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
