Electrical Engineering Intern
Department: EngineeringLocation: Pinellas Park, FLDuration: Summer Internship (May-August, flexible based on school schedule)Position SummaryCME is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support engineering projects and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and develop practical technical skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components Support troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical and electronic issues Participate in engineering projects, including research, analysis, and documentation Help prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals Perform general engineering support tasks as needed QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronic systems Hands-on lab, academic project, or internship experience preferred Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment What You'll GainPractical, hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment Exposure to real-world engineering projects and challenges Opportunity to develop technical and problem-solving skills Mentorship and collaboration with experienced engineersCompensation & ScheduleHourly rate based on academic year: Freshman: $16.00/hour Sophomore: $17.00/hour Junior: $18.00/hour Senior: $19.00/hour Full-time summer internship (10-12 weeks, ~40 hours/week) Opportunity for future full-time employment based on performance Eligibility RequirementsCurrently enrolled in an accredited college or university.Pursuing a degree in a relevant field Strong communication and teamwork skills.Other RequirementsCME positions require access to controlled goods under ITAR/EAR regulations; applicants must be "U.S. Persons" as defined by these regulations.Compliance with U.S. federal law requires verification of identity and work eligibility; CME cannot employ individuals who do not meet these criteria, including those on student or temporary work visas.Completion of Predictive Index Assessments.About CMECustom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc.
