Golf - Girls Head Coach

Season: Fall (IHSA Season)Position OverviewMarian Central Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated, faith-driven, and student-centered Head Girls Golf Coach to lead and grow the girls golf program. The head coach is responsible for developing student-athletes both competitively and personally, while upholding the mission and values of Marian Central Catholic.ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the girls golf program (varsity and any lower levels)Develop a competitive and sustainable program focused on long-term growthPromote multi-level participation and actively recruit within the school communityTeach fundamental and advanced golf skills, course management, and rules of playDesign and implement effective daily practice plansFoster individual improvement and team cohesionProvide instruction that emphasizes discipline, accountability, and sportsmanshipCoordinate match schedules in alignment with conference and Illinois High School Association guidelinesManage all aspects of competitions including lineup decisions, transportation coordination, and communicationEnsure compliance with all IHSA rules and eligibility requirementsServe as a positive role model consistent with Marian Central Catholic's Catholic identityPromote leadership, respect, integrity, and teamworkSupport the academic success and well-being of all student-athletesMaintain clear and consistent communication with players, parents, and school administrationCollaborate with the Athletic Director on program goals, scheduling, and needsUtilize platforms such as GameChanger or school communication tools for updatesInventory and manage equipment and uniformsAssist with budgeting and program needsEnsure proper supervision and safety protocols at all practices and matchesAttend required athletic department meetingsRequirementsQualificationsPrevious coaching or competitive golf experience preferredKnowledge of IHSA rules and regulationsStrong leadership, organization, and communication skillsCommitment to the mission of Marian Central Catholic High SchoolAbility to obtain required certifications (CPR/AED, background check, etc.)Preferred AttributesPassion for developing young athletes of varying skill levelsAbility to build a positive and disciplined team cultureStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsWillingness to collaborate and contribute to the overall athletic department
