Food Scientist II
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with an established flavor/food manufacturer in the Mount Laurel, NJ area is on the search for an experienced and detail-oriented Food Scientist II to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in various accounting software.Salary: $60,000-$95,000Food Scientist II Job ResponsibilitiesConducts bench top product development of nutritional food supplements, taking product from original concept to completion of manufacturing process.Develops custom formulas per customer specification.Researches and develops nutrition and product parameters for unique applications in new market places. Evaluates raw materials for functionality and product quality; follows the vendor approval process.Manages multiple projects, meeting project goals/deadlines, and executes product launches.Expands expertise in areas of more complex product development, food processing (ex. RTD, bars, confections, functional delivery systems), or regulatory areas.Executes work plans by implementing logical experimentation design, possesses skills to work independently, completes data analysis, effectively interprets findings, and proactively includes contingency plans.Manages responsibilities such as ongoing nutrition data base management role or serving as a point person organizing the group data and information for a new multi-product line.Food Scientist II RequirementsBachelor's degree {B. S.) in Food Science, Nutrition or related field from four year college or university and minimum of one to four years of food industry/product development experience or relevant science equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Genesis software, TGI preferred.
