For further information, please visit www.terma.com.Location: Warner Robins, GAThe Challenge: The Systems Engineer will participate in engineering activities to ensure successful product development and integration, timely execution of programs, and total customer satisfaction. This includes a wide variety of tasks from the systems engineering discipline, and tasks specifically relevant to our avionic products’ domain (Electronic Warfare Self-Protection Systems), where your contributions are central to our success. Tasks may include interfacing with stakeholders, developing requirements, architecture and design, integration, and verification. You may also help create or improve plans and procedures, generate and present briefings, and provide leadership in select areas.Essential Job Tasks and Duties:Identify customer and stakeholder requirementsGenerate system requirementsRequirements traceability, management, and complianceDevelop system architectureCreate system designPerform system integration and verification testingPerform various analyses and trade studiesParticipate in peer review of work productsSupport engineering planningDevelop engineering documentationGenerate and present project/customer briefingsOther Job Tasks:Contribute to process improvementGather and report relevant project progress metricsSupport customer testing as neededSpecial assignmentsQualifications:Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline and 5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering for avionics or similar domain OR equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Experience:U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearanceProficient at writing requirementsExperience testing in a System Integration Laboratory (SIL) settingSystems Thinking skills (understand the “big picture” and think in the abstract, while being able to work at a detailed level to understand and solve issues)Ability to communicate well orally and in writing to teams, projects, management, and customersAbility to work as part of a team or aloneAbility to work with a minimum of direction (willing to seek out “how” to accomplish tasks)Willingness to accept tasks outside regular duties when neededAbility to follow company policies and proceduresFamiliarity with MS Office ApplicationsWillingness to travel up to 10% both domestic and abroadPreferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:Certification as an INCOSE CSEP or ESEPExperience developing military avionicsExperience with on-aircraft Electronic Warfare and Self-Protection SystemsExperience as a Systems Engineering leadFamiliarity with IBM Rational-DOORSFamiliarity with JIRATerma Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans
