Nursing Home PhysicianNew York City - Multiple Boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Poughkeepsie, Westchester County)Position OverviewA large multispecialty group is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians to join our Nursing Home Division. Our expanding primary care team provides high-quality diagnostic and treatment services to patients across NYC and surrounding areas.Physicians in this role will meet, assess, and diagnose patients in nursing homes, providing comprehensive care that adheres to state and national standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about primary care, diagnostics, and collaborative teamwork, and enjoys working closely with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & EvaluationProvide primary medical care to nursing home patients within standard of care guidelinesConduct assessments, review medical histories, and analyze laboratory and imaging resultsDiagnose medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plansPrescribe medications and treatment regimens, considering allergies and potential side effectsProvide lifestyle and diet guidance to improve patient health and prevent diseaseCollaboration & CoordinationWork closely with nursing home staff, specialists, and the primary healthcare teamRefer patients to appropriate specialists when necessaryParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, safety standards, and infection control programsDocumentation & ComplianceMaintain complete, accurate, and timely medical records in eClinicalWorksEnsure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal privacy regulationsQualificationsBoard Certified / Board Eligible in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care/Hospice, or Family MedicineMD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. medical schoolCompletion of an accredited residency program or U.S. residency / 5-year pathwayActive New York State Medical LicenseDEA and DPS registration (may be obtained during credentialing)Clinical experience providing primary care and diagnostics in a team-based settingExperience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical judgment skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive annual salary: $190,000 - $240,000Comprehensive benefits packageSupportive multispecialty group with offices across NYCCredentialing process typically 2-3 monthsOrganization & LifestyleLarge multispecialty group employing over 140 physicians and 100 APPsLocations throughout the five boroughs and surrounding areasAbundant public transportation optionsEnjoy NYC's cultural, culinary, and entertainment offeringsCore ValuesOpen communicationSense of urgencyTeamworkAccountabilityDriven to winHigher consciousness
