Regional VP of Sales

We are seeking a driven, strategic Regional VP of Sales in the Greater Detroit area to help expand our presence in the vision benefits marketplace and strengthen relationships across the broker, consultant, and employer communities. This is a high-impact role for a sales professional who thrives on building market momentum, developing trusted partnerships, and winning new business in a competitive benefits environment.The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the employee benefits landscape, strong industry relationships, and the ability to lead the sales process from opportunity identification through final presentation and close. This individual will play a key role in growing our assigned territory, shaping market strategy, and helping position our organization as a differentiated, responsive partner in vision care.What You’ll DoOwn the growth, organization, and performance of an assigned sales territory in alignment with company goalsBuild and deepen relationships with brokers, consultants, and direct employer groups to drive new business opportunitiesDevelop and execute a strategic travel and meeting plan to support market visibility, relationship development, and sales growthLead the RFP process from initial evaluation through strategy, coordination, development, and timely submissionPartner closely with internal Business Development and Marketing teams to create compelling, competitive proposals and presentationsDeliver persuasive sales presentations and guide best-and-final discussions in collaboration with executive leadershipIdentify market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs to help shape sales strategy and strengthen our market positionProvide valuable field feedback to support the development of marketing materials, broker communications, and sales messagingExpand and maintain a strong pipeline of broker, consultant, and direct employer prospects within the assigned territoryTrack and report on pipeline activity, appointments, and sales progress on a weekly basisServe as a proactive, solutions-oriented partner internally, helping drive responsiveness, accountability, and exceptional service throughout the sales cycleWhat We’re Looking For5-10 years of experience in vision benefits, managed care, or employee benefits sales are required.Strong existing relationships within the broker and consulting community are requiredState health insurance licenses are requiredProven ability to develop opportunities, manage complex sales cycles, and close business in a competitive marketExperience responding to RFPs and delivering presentations to large groups and executive-level audiencesStrong business acumen with the ability to identify trends, analyze competition, and contribute to strategic decision-makingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, self-directed, and able to manage territory priorities independentlyComfortable collaborating across departments and influencing outcomes in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business toolsWhy This Role Is ExcitingOpportunity to make a visible impact on company growthHigh level of ownership and autonomy within your territoryDirect exposure to leadership and strategic initiativesAbility to help shape how we compete and grow in the vision benefits marketCollaborative environment with strong internal partnership across sales, business development, and marketing
