The environment is fast-paced, operationally focused, and centered on safety, compliance, and service impact.Job Description:Our client is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance and operational readiness across multiple warehouse locations. This role is highly hands-on and requires a versatile technician who can manage preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a wide range of facility systems.You will work closely with operations and facilities leadership to ensure equipment, building systems, and warehouse infrastructure remain safe, functional, and compliant.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building systemsMaintain and repair warehouse equipment including dock doors, racking, conveyors, and material handling systemsSupport refrigeration and freezer/cooler systems, including monitoring temperature controls and performing basic repairsRespond to maintenance work orders and troubleshoot facility issues in a timely mannerConduct routine inspections of safety systems including emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and safety equipmentPartner with external vendors for specialized repairs and compliance-related maintenanceSupport preventive maintenance schedules and document work performed in tracking systems or CMMS toolsAssist with minor construction, repairs, installations, and warehouse setup projectsSupport operational continuity during maintenance activities and special eventsTravel to a secondary facility in Northern Virginia approximately once per weekQualifications:35 years of facility maintenance experience in a warehouse, industrial, food service, or similar environmentHands-on experience with at least one core trade: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systemsExperience maintaining warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dock systems, conveyors preferred)Basic refrigeration or cold storage equipment experience strongly preferredAbility to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs independentlyFamiliarity with work order systems, CMMS platforms, or similar tracking toolsAbility to read technical manuals, schematics, or basic blueprintsForklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hireStrong communication, problem-solving, and reliability in a fast-paced environmentAdditional Details:Fully onsite role supporting multiple warehouse locationsMust be comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environmentsRole includes occasional weekend coverage and on-call responsibilitiesExposure to warehouse operations and industrial equipment is requiredMust be able to travel between DC and Northern Virginia sites weeklyPerks:Mission-driven work supporting food access in local communitiesStrong benefits package including healthcare coverage, retirement plan with employer match, PTO, and parental leaveProfessional development support and growth opportunitiesCollaborative, hands-on operational environmentFree onsite parking and commuter support options (where applicable)Employee wellness and assistance programsEqual Opportunity Employer:Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
