Part-time Line Cook

DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Line Cook will work directly with the back of house team and is responsible for managing the timely preparation of food items during service, some prep and following recipes and other established guidelines. This position also ensures that all food has been properly prepared according to health safety guidelines.What We Are Looking ForYou are a reliable team player who shows up ready to support the kitchen and communicate effectivelyYou are highly organized and keep a clean, efficient station in a fast-paced environmentYou are skilled on the line with strong cooking fundamentals and can execute consistently under pressureScheduleMust be available to work nights and weekendsRequirementsPart-time Line Cook Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure food has been made properly according to recipes and health codesCommunicate with other cooks, food runners and servers to coordinate various needs, dietary restrictions and 86 itemsMust be able to work positively with all staff members, independently and as part of a teamEnsure that your station is kept clean, organized and closed properly at end of shiftGeneral cleaning & maintenance of work areas, complete all assigned daily tasks & organize, put away & rotate orders as neededComply with health and sanitation standardsMust be able to multi-task and keep calm in high pressure situations and have very strong verbal communication skillsBasic knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking including grill and sauté preferredMust be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time. This position frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassistedAvailability to work nights and weekendsEnsure food is prepared timely, accurately and consistentlyRequirements Of The PositionQualifications & Skills:Must be able to multi-taskHave the ability to work well under pressure and as a teamAbility to work accurately in a fast-paced environmentBe able to maintain a high quality of friendly and attentive service to our patronsMust have very strong verbal communication skillsAbility to bend, stoop, stand for up to six hours at a time and lift up to 25 poundsAvailability to work nights and weekendsAdditional RequirementsA willingness to commit to the mission, vision, and values of the theaterPhysical requirements include: Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time.
