Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager we are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Day Shift to be based at our Centralia, IL facility.

Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer works with the Engineering team to serve clients and customers
in the support of designing and manufacturing custom projects and equipment.
Project Design/Management
Develop accurate, complete, and timely electrical drawings; work with customer to clarify details and obtain
approvals
Develop detailed bill of materials and provide to procurement for fulfillment
Provide guidance to mechanical engineering group on integration of electrical and mechanical design; obtain
customer approval as required
Follow standard engineering processes and timelines, including execution of Electrical Reviews (ERs), Pre-Project
Reviews (PPRs) and post-project reviews where required
Provide support for and monitor manufacturing group during production phase; ensure form/fit/function meets
customer specs
Manage design schedule; ensure on-time delivery
Ensure all projects meet IE quality standards plus all defined customer quality specifications
Participates in initial project kickoff reviews to evaluate accuracy of the of the estimate and job layout
Analyzes plans and project specifications and codes to determine project requirements
Interface with customers as technical expert; provide recommendations on configuration of potential projects
(write specifications where possible); make joint customer visits as required to close on large/critical projects
Support business development with customer visits to strategic customer targets
Participates in final walk-through inspection & manages the completion of all close out documentation
Provide commissioning and field support on projects as required
Respond to emergency service calls, in and out of assigned region, as required; trouble shoot problems

Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years of electrical design with NEC code experience, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience in a closely related field.
Five to seven years of electrical design with NEC code experience in a manufacturing setting
Thorough understanding of NEC (National Electric Code)
Experience working with and designing low, medium and high voltage electrical distribution equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of electrical design with NEC code experience, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience in a closely related field.
Deep understanding of electrical control, power distribution, and process equipment, standards, and
specifications
Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum, change
orders, etc.
Experience working with and designing low, medium and high voltage electrical distribution equipment
Proficient with engineering software (AutoCAD, etc.) ERP systems in quote development and Microsoft software
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time and possess a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to information technology.
Able to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Electrical drawings, prints, schematics and National Electric Code. Ability to
effectively discuss and convey technical information to customers, co-workers and other individuals as required by the
position. Ability to respond to common and technical questions related to projects or related aspects of the position. .
Math Ability:
Ability to perform moderate to complex electrical and math calculations in determining voltages, impedance resistance,
amperage, current flow, etc. Must be able to analyze and verify detailed electrical specifications calculations and
perform other general to moderate math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Must be
able to calculate statistics related to company dashboards and organizational metrics. Ability to apply concepts such as
fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to comprehend and understand project related issues and develop and apply practical solutions. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in an efficient and effective manner. Ability to
interpret an extensive variety of electrical technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several
abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have skills and experience in:
Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc. – EPICOR 9/10
Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical or closely related electrical engineering software
ERP systems ( Epicor 9-10 preferred)
