DescriptionJob DescriptionProvide technical leadership for all aspects of database management such as database lifecycle management, monitoring, support, disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.Research new Oracle database versions, features, tools, and technologies with an Enterprise perspective to meet customer needs while maintaining a secure database environment.Research, benchmark, and suggest improvements to database support processes, customer experience (CX) improvements, and compliance requirements.Provide 3rd and 4th level Oracle database support for complex issues.Participate in and manage database related projects, database security patching audits, and compliance reviews and testing.Develop new and update existing database technology related documentation as neededCoach and communicate information to the client's application support teams and peers across the enterprise on Oracle technology changes, new features, key projects, and customer experience improvementsParticipate on customer driven and Division/department projectsTechnical Skills RequiredOracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) - ExpertDatabase Lifecycle Management (DBLM) - IntermediateOracle Fleet Management module to deploy automated patching - IntermediateScripting (shell, Perl, emcli) - ExpertSQL structured query language - ExpertOracle Database Administration skills managing Oracle database versions 12c and 19cOracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)Manual database patching and database upgradesInstalling Oracle release updates (RU) security patches on data guard, multitenant, stand alone and Real Application Cluster (RAC) databasesDatabase performance managementDatabase hardware configurationLinux / UNIX operating systems (RedHat and AIX)(Desired)Technical project management, technical leadership, and strong communication skills to work with DBAs and application teams in a variety of situations.Providing on the job training and developing learning materials for DBAsTechnical problem-solving skillsCloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web ServicesSoft Skills RequiredActs in a self-directed manner, independently researching tools/libraries/technologies or solving a problem with minimal oversight and instructions Works well with a geographically distributed teamQuickly learns new technologies and apply them with an enterprise perspectiveEducation RequirementsBachelor's Degree in related field
