Travel Registered Nurse ER | San Luis, Arizona

Provide expert nursing care as an experienced RN in a dynamic Emergency Room setting in Southern Arizona. This travel nursing opportunity offers a 13-week assignment in the ER of a Level III trauma hospital that functions with the pace and acuity of a Level I trauma center. Candidates with a minimum of two years of recent Level I/II trauma ER experience will thrive in this fast-paced environment treating diverse emergency cases.Key Responsibilities:Deliver patient-centered emergency nursing care in a 52-bed ER with 4 trauma bays and 6 fast track bedsManage a patient load averaging 200 ER visits per day with acuity covering STEMI, stroke, trauma, pediatrics, and moreIndependently interpret telemetry and collaborate with RT and monitor techs for patient monitoringUtilize the Epic EMR system proficiently for documentation and communicationParticipate in a shared and flexible schedule with a nearby freestanding ER locationFollow protocols for trauma, stroke, and sepsis response within a multidisciplinary teamSupport department functions including triage, patient assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventionsQualifications:Valid RN license and minimum 2 years ER experience within a Level I or II trauma center in the last 3 years (Level III or CAH experience not accepted)Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferredProficiency and recent usage of Epic EMRAbility to work the 11a-11p shift starting May 4th (start date firm)Commitment to 100-mile radius travel requirement with no blocked scheduling or 48-hour guaranteesLocation Insight: Situated in the vibrant region of Southern Arizona, this assignment provides exposure to a diverse patient population and varied emergency cases, all within comfortable proximity to local amenities and landscape rich in southwestern culture.
