Shop Lead *Sign-on Bonus
Sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, based on technician level offered at time of hire.The Shop Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the shop operates safely, efficiently, and with a high standard of quality. This position is responsible for overseeing daily workflow, assigning work to technicians, maintaining accountability, and ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time. The Shop Lead works closely with technicians to keep operations running smoothly while maintaining clear communication and a strong safety culture.Key ResponsibilitiesSafetyEnforce PPE requirements and safe work practices at all timesImmediately stop any unsafe work or behaviorMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant shop environmentWork Planning & Shop FlowEnsure all work is documented on open work orders before work beginsAssign work daily based on equipment downtime priority and technician skill levelAdjust assignments as needed to prevent workflow stalls or technician idle timeReview work orders for accuracy and completeness and close them once all assigned work is finishedTechnician Leadership & AccountabilitySet clear expectations for technician productivity, quality, and workplace behaviorProvide coaching and address performance issues early, resolving concerns the same day when possibleHold technicians accountable for accurate diagnostics, time management, and documentationCommunicationClearly communicate daily priorities and expectations to techniciansProactively escalate delays, parts shortages, or operational constraintsMaintain consistent communication to ensure there are no surprises in workflow or repair timelinesQuality ControlVerify repairs are completed properly before equipment is releasedHelp prevent repeat repairs by ensuring proper diagnostics and repair processes are followedSystems & DocumentationEnsure accurate labor clocking, parts usage tracking, and repair notes within shop systemsMaintain proper documentation to support operational efficiency and reportingKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to understand, communicate, read, and write the English language.Must have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires.Must have physical ability to climb, bend and stoop.Must have physical ability to work while on feet at all times, ability to stand for long periods of time.Must have tools to perform skills for this levelEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.Competitive CompensationWe believe in rewarding excellence.
