This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Manager partners closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and support overall plant performance.Main Responsibilities:Manage all activities related to production and infrastructure equipment reliabilityEnsure preventative maintenance performed to expectationEnsures timely and accurate repair of machine breakdownsEnsures proper and accurate record keeping of repair and parts usageEnsure all equipment is updated to outlast standards for both safety and upgradesSupports OEM initiatives for machine installs and upgradesImplements and controls predictive maintenance schedules based on data acquired from machine downtime reportsAutonomous maintenance activitiesManaging Maintenance budgetary spendingSupports building maintenance budget during annual budget processDrives cost savings initiatives through predictive maintenance and rebuild processes with parts suppliersManaging Maintenance teamCoordinates and leads training activities for maintenance techs.Performs LOTO audits for verification of all techniciansAudits all technician work orders in maintenance software for complianceManage continuous improvement activitiesLeads and participates in RCA's for reoccurring deviations on equipment or performanceLeads department in 5S initiatives and installation eventsPerforms equipment kaizen events to bring equipment to like new conditionPerformance Metrics:MTTF and MTTRPlant Operational EfficiencyTracking of Maintenance team skill level in E-SkillsMaintenance record tracking to ALPLA standardMCI – Maintenance cost to budgetRCA completions and implementationsThe above metrics are reviewed by Plant Management and Regional Technical team in our automated reporting systemsCompetencies:Directs WorkDevelops TalentNimble LearningPlans and AlignsManages ConflictResourcefulnessBuilds Effective TeamsCustomer FocusWhat Makes You GreatFour-year degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience requiredMinimum four years of work experience at ALPLA or similar industry requiredExperience with Computer Control Systems on machinesExperience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsAt least 3 years of supervisory experience required Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
