Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized, specialized instruction that aligns with each student's IEP.Differentiate lesson plans and classroom activities to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.Employ positive behavioral interventions and maintain effective classroom management.Coordinate and collaborate with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families to create a consistent and supportive learning experience.Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with all required documentation.Engage actively in IEP meetings and team discussions to continually improve student outcomes. Preferred Qualifications:Holds (or is eligible for) valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification.Previous experience with elementary-aged students, especially in special education settings.Strong grasp of behavior management and differentiated instructional approaches.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to build positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
