This role drives performance through strategic leadership, talent development, coaching, and operational oversight to ensure sales goals are consistently achieved across the organization.The ASD plays a critical role in building high-performing teams, cultivating a strong and engaging culture, and driving accountability and execution excellence throughout the field organization. We are seeking dynamic sales leaders who are passionate about coaching teams, developing talent, and leading with collaboration, integrity, and urgency.This is an exciting opportunity to support an innovative organization focused on advancing treatment options in the fibromyalgia space. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Sales.Essential Functions including Supervisory Responsibilities:Ensure sales goals are consistently achievedRecruit, hire and manage a high performing teamCreate and drive area strategy and short-term tactics to achieve business goals in a timely mannerWork in the field with Regional Sales Directors to counsel on their coaching skills to guide their team on improvement of their skills, product knowledge, and capabilities needed for successful representative development and maximum goal achievement at the territory and regional levelBuild strong client and cross-functional relationshipsCultivate a strong and engaging culture within the AreaMonitor data analytics information (trends and activity) continuously to ensure full utilization of available resources and tools for maximum impact on prescribing providers while constantly looking for opportunities to improveDrive regional plan for Pharmaceutical Field team to provide education and awareness on Fibromyalgia and other therapeutic areas as applicableSet a positive tone and high standard for professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and compliant business executionSupport Regional Sales Directors in design of regional business plans and employee development plansOrganize employee training, conferences and regional meetingsWork with Regional Sales Directors to share success stories and adapt best practices with the district and across the nationCommunicate with key leadership regularly (written and verbal) to update on project performance, gain feedback, build relationships, and network to identify future opportunitiesAttend National and Regional congresses as assignedCollaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access on a regular basisNecessary Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated track record of successful pharmaceutical sales leadership, including achievement of sales objectives and team developmentAbility to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing teamA strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industriesLead a team and promote account management skills, including the ability to work an account to gain access and support pull throughProduct launch experienceDraw appropriate conclusions using sales and call reporting dataInterpret and use data to build positive resultsStrong collaborator with cross-functional teamsDedicated team player who is able to withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel, using all means of transportation as requiredValid Driver’s LicenseProficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and mobile technologiesExperience in fibromyalgia, rheumatology, neurology or pain management preferredEducational Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS degree, preferably in life sciences or business administration) from an accredited College or University requiredMBA preferredExperience Requirements:7+ years of pharmaceutical sales management experienceThe base pay range for this position is $215K – $250K per year.
