The ideal candidate brings hands-on mechanical aptitude, drilling fluids knowledge, and a detail-oriented approach to equipment monitoring and pressure management. This role offers exposure to product development, prototype testing, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate lab simulations involving high-pressure hydraulic systems; monitor equipment pressure continuously and make precise adjustments throughout testingBuild and evaluate mud properties; apply drilling fluids knowledge to assess and document fluid behavior during test cyclesDisassemble, inspect, and reassemble mechanical equipment; troubleshoot and implement corrective actions on defects in a timely mannerDevelop mathematical models and engineering analyses; produce technical reports, design conclusions, and customer-facing presentationsAssist in prototype development and product commercialization; contribute to design standards and support documentation through the full product lifecycleRequired QualificationsBS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering1–3 years of relevant engineering experienceHands-on experience with high-pressure hydraulic systems (4,000 PSI or equivalent)Knowledge of drilling fluids and mud property evaluationStrong mechanical aptitude; ability to disassemble and reassemble equipmentHigh attention to detail; capable of sustained equipment monitoring during active testsAble to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
