Technical Designer
Join our team as a Technical Designer and play a crucial role in transforming artistic ideas into clothing that meets quality and fit standards. You'll bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, ensuring stylish, well-fitting garments are brought to life.ResponsibilitiesLead the technical design process, guiding garments from development through to final fitting.Evaluate and refine garment fit specifications, ensuring alignment with quality and cost standards.Develop technical specifications and effectively communicate these to vendors and factories for necessary adjustments and approvals.Collaborate with factories to maintain design integrity of prototypes and monitor quality control.Possibly oversee and provide guidance to Assistant Technical Designers.SkillsExtensive experience (5+ years) in technical design, preferably in senior roles.Strong analytical skills for evaluating garments and understanding manufacturing capabilities.Proficient in developing and communicating detailed technical specifications.Keen attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality and fit.Preferred SkillsBackground in suiting, with an emphasis on menswear.Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent professional experience.At Horizontal, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
